Handy Haversacks, Kundarak & Bags of Holding

As discussed in the last session, the Wolves have converted most of their liquid cash (or at least their gold) into a House Kundarak bank account. If you opened it with the cash you had left, the 1% fee to open the account came to 198 gp, and you've now got a balance of 19,600 gp. We can figure the exact amount later after you buy whatever else you want to buy in Sharn. You can choose to have letters of credit (authorized with arcane marks) from Kundarak in any amount, and carry that with you, where you can trade it for cash at any Kundarak enclave (most cities have them) or use it to purchase from most civilized shops. I'd suggest that each member of the Wolves gets a letter worth 4,000 gp, which at your current membership of four (if you give Tworock a letter) leaves 3,600 gp in the Sharn bank for later.

Also and more importantly... I finally checked on the weight capabilities of the Haversack. It holds 20 lbs. in each side pocket (there are 2), and 80 lbs. in the main pocket. Or 120 lbs. total. You currently have 166 lbs. worth of gear in there, minus the masquerade costumes and Emerald Claw disguises, which aren't going to fit. My suggestion would be to look into a bag of holding. The smallest one holds 250 lbs, and the disadvantage is that it takes a full-round action to get anything out of it, unlike the Haversack. It would cost you 2500 gp. Or you can go 500 lbs. (5000 gp), 1000 lbs. (7400 gp) or 1500 lbs. (10000 gp).

No, you cannot put the bag of holding *into* the Haversack. Unless you and everyone within 10 feet would like an instant trip to the Astral Plane, with the destruction of both bags as a side effect.

I would also remind you that you are lacking a restock on healing potions (or scrolls), restoration scrolls, etc.

It seems to me that we should probably purchase a low class Bag of Holding and put the larger/heavier stuff in there that we don't expect to need in a hurry. Things that we need to grab quickly, like healing potions, can live in the Haversack.

I concur with Paul. Very well reasoned, sir.

We also need to buy some scrolls and potions and stuff to put in it. Anyway, looks like we may need to do some more shopping, either next time or before next time. Thoughts?

And not to put too fine a point on it, but does Tworock (great name, btw) get a paycheck already? No offense but he hasn't really started earning his keep yet - not that I doubt he will, mind you - just seems a bit premature to Pel. (Not to me, to Pel.) It would seem a bad policy to give a bunch of gold to someone we barely know, then he just decides to take off. Anything we get from this point forward, he would of course be entitled to a share.

We also need to know who his beneficiaries will be, just in case.

Tworock says, "There is an old saying among the dark elves of Xen'drik: 'If you wish to be rid of a clansman, simply lend him money.' I have no desire to carry a note if it causes any strife within your tribe."

And I can't take any credit for the name. "Tworock" is a great name, but it came from Randy.

I did come up with the name, but Paul came up with what I thought was the great meaning of the name.

If you think that's something, just wait until you meet his sister Threetit.

We should probably also buy at least one jar of Restorative Ointment (the ointment formerly known as Keoghtum's: TOFKAK for short). It has 5 applications that Neutralize Poison, Remove Disease and/or cure 1d8+5 HP. It's not cheap at 4,000 GP, so another option would be scrolls of the same spells (and maybe Remove Curse as well) for 375 GP each. That will take our money further. The only disadvantage is that Pel is the only one in the party who can cast them.
