Good news, gentlemen... I looked in the Explorer's Handbook and found rates for Lightning Rail passage as well as distances that indicate your method of travel was much cheaper, almost half. I've made the changes in notes on the Party Treasure, it cost you only 1,106 gp, and that's assuming no refund from the last, abortive leg of the journey.

The 5 sp/mile is for first class, private cabin type stuff.
